It looks like Johnny Depp just landed a major role—as the newest face of Christian Dior Parfums. This morning it was announced that the Hollywood heartthrob would front the brand’s forthcoming scent for men, his first fragrance campaign ever. The cologne, which has yet to be named, was reportedly designed by Dior perfumer François Demachy and is the first male fragrance to be released by the French design house in the last decade.
Unfortunately we don’t know too much about the campaign, but Dior did release a teaser photo and an estimated release date of September 1. While Depp is no stranger to modeling—he’s done work in the past with H&M and Montblanc, not to mention his numerous magazine covers—he’ll be joining the ranks of some very glamorous Dior ambassadors. Past and present faces include Charlize Theron, Jude Law, Natalie Portman, Rihanna, Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson.
