Karl Lagerfeld Set To Endorse Food & Drinks

News & Trends: White-haired, ponytail sporting Karl Lagerfeld is certainly one of the hardest-working men in fashion. Notorious for lending his name and signature style to almost any artistic project, it seems that the head of Chanel has lent his name to some unusual products as of late.

Although he known for being finicky about food, especially as to how much his models eat and therefore weigh, Lagerfeld has been endorsing some food lately, including a salad which he has blessed with name.

WWD has reported that the couture designer is allowing his name to be used on an Alaskan king crab salad served in Jean-Roch's new La Gioia restaurant in Paris. Lagerfeld reportedly always orders the salad at Roch's sister La Gioia eatery in Saint-Tropez, according to a restaurant spokesman. Now called the "Insalata Karl Lagerfeld," the dish contains extra virgin olive oil from Sicily, black pepper, bread crusts, sea salt and a squeeze of lemon juice.

In other Lagerfeld and carb news, Lagerfeld has reportedly lent his talent to a new Coca-Cola bottle. The limited edition Coca-Cola Light design features a black silhouette of the designer and a pink bottle cap and will be available only in France starting on April 28. Lagerfeld is reportedly a notorious Coke fan and is said to enjoy his Coca-Cola Lite in a delicate crystal goblet to accentuate the taste.
