The Redesigned 2010 Lexus LS 460

Luxury Cars: The Lexus LS 460 is back and better than ever with a new look and even more luxury features. While Lexus continues to offer the LS 460 in its original glory, the new revamped version takes the sedan to the next level.

The 2010 model features a redesigned grille, bumper and headlamps and offers rear styling with revised tail lamps, new side mirrors with integrated turn signals, and standard 18-inch wheels complete with a new 10-spoke design. There is also an optional Sport Package for RWD models, which combines sport tuned air suspension, Brembo brakes, a front and rear lower spoiler, side rocker panels, rear 19-inch forged wheels with aero body design elements and exclusive interior features.

Like its predecessor, the 2010 LS 460 offers the option of adding a Pre-Collision System; however, the latest model takes safety one step further with its new state-of-the-art Advanced Pre-Collision System (APCS). As the world's first active pedestrian system, APCS is designed to detect pedestrians in the vehicle's path and triggers the brakes to react accordingly. The LS 460 is equipped with a camera mounted on the steering column, and if the driver is not looking directly ahead for more than a few seconds -- or if an obstacle is detected -- the APCS signals the driver with a warning chime and flashing light.

Powerful driving performance is achieved through a 4.6-liter V8 engine combined with an eight-speed automatic transmission, allowing gear ratios that maximize torque. Backed by its 380 horsepower engine, the LS 460 is capable of going from zero-to-60 in about 5.4 seconds. While the sedan is unarguably a powerful driving machine, it still achieves an EPA-estimated 24 mpg on the highway and meets Ultra-Low Emissions Vehicle II certification. So, not only is the LS 460 fierce on the road, it remains friendly to the environment as well as at the gas pump.

The luxury sedan comes standard with Intelligent High Beams; an integrated XM® Satellite Radio receiver; climate-controlled front seats; heated rear seats; heated steering wheel; power rear sunshade; a one-touch open/close power trunk; power door closers, Intuitive Park Assist and headlamp washers. Additional features include a large center console LCD screen, available navigation system, Bluetooth® compatibility, and USB/iPod connectivity.

With upgrades ranging from the Comfort to the Executive Class Seating Package, the 2010 Lexus LS 460 can be customized to fit your own personal standard of luxury.
