San Pellegrino recently released a pretty interesting video where they gathered some of today’s best culinary stars to chat about how they broke into the industry. As a way to promote the S. Pellegrino Young Chef 2015 talent search, the Round Table clip—which is the first in a series—brings together Susur Lee (Lee Restaurant), Cory Vitiello (The Harbord Room), Matty Matheson (Parts & Labour), Chuck Ortiz (Acquired Taste), and Sheila Flaherty (wine expert) before they were scheduled to judge a segment of the competition later that day. The talented chefs talked about what initially drew them to the culinary world, what their big break was, and gave some advice to newcomers wanting to stand out. The video takes them from their round table chat, all the way to the announcement of Paul Moran winning the Canadian leg of the contest, making him one of the 20 finalists who will go on to compete in the final event in June.
