The Hachi Infinite M1 turns flat surfaces into interactive touch displays, redefining how users are able to interact with their screens no matter the location. The smart device from Hachi, creators of cutting-edge robotics solutions that enable consumers to build AI-enhanced smart living ecosystems, is the first-ever smart home projector that turns any flat surface into an interactive touchscreen.

Following being selected as a CES® 2020 Innovation Awards Honoree for its brand-new device, Hachi is proud of their latest technological accomplishment.

“We’re thrilled to bring Hachi Infinite’s unique, industry-first capabilities into the homes of consumers,” said Seong Tang, VP of Technology and Lead of AIoT at Hachi. “Its user-friendly multitouch technology, spectacular HD picture, and novel interactive AI functions come together to create an entirely new category within the smart home market.”

With the initial concept being tossed around by engineers and designers back in April of 2019, Tang worked diligently with a team of hardware, software, structural and design directors to develop the product in just 18 months. Unlike projectors with basic touchscreen capabilities, Hachi Infinite employs a proprietary multitouch technology called AnyTouch that works on any flat surface and enables responsiveness on par with capacitive displays. This leap of engineering, thanks to computer vision technology that tracks and reads a user’s touch to detect each tap instantly without delay, has created a product that is industry-defining and allows the projector to essentially replace any smartphone or tablet.

“We are dedicated to making the lives of our customers smarter, easier and more convenient, and the introduction of Hachi Infinite serves as a significant step towards helping them build their ideal smart living ecosystems. We hope this product can make everyday life easier, more convenient and allow users to stay closely connected in education, work, and entertainment environments,” said Tang.

Available in two versions: the M1 (4GB RAM, 64GB storage and 500 lumens of display brightness) and the M1 Pro (6GB RAM, 128GB storage and 600 lumens of display brightness), Hachi Infinite is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 processor and features built-in Android OS 9.0 and a custom UI. Users will be able to enjoy third-party apps, games and entertainment with touchscreen functionality, along with wireless pairing across iOS and Android devices from any location.

Coupled with high-precision sensors and deep learning technology, Hachi Infinite also has AI-integrated education, fitness, and kitchen features to enable more intuitive interactions and create an immersive experience for both children and adults in these environments. This distinct quality separates Hachi Infinite from other projectors as the unique HCI and AI functions provide new user experiences that other projectors on the market do not offer. (The AI Education function is currently enabled and accessible, and the AI Fitness and AI Kitchen functions will be enabled in the coming weeks by way of a software update.)

Weighing just under three pounds, the 3.15” x 8.46” x 5.43” projector does not need to be continuously connected to a power supply and holds a three to five-hour charge depending on use case. Along with a camera and microphone, volume controls, and a power button, the only visible port is a USB-C port, with the other ports: HDMI, USB-C, and 3.5mm headphone jack hidden at the back; this creates a stylish design making sure it is unobtrusive wherever it is situated in a room. The device also comes with a rechargeable remote control, through a micro USB cable which is provided.

With a projection ration of 0.39 to 1, the ultra-short-throw projection capability is between 23” and 100” with the recommended size of display being between 23” and 40”. Its touch control interface supports 10-point touch control and can distinguish between multiple gestures, while its AI provides natural language processing, voice recognition, image recognition and much more.

Hachi Infinite is available for purchase ($999.00)worldwide at HachiSmart.com and on Amazon.
