December may be a stressful time for some, but for The Carlyle Residences in Los Angeles it's a time to celebrate. Last week The Agency (the building's exclusive sales and marketing team) announced that the 24-story luxury condominium is now 80 percent sold. With over $225 million in sales so far—$50 million of which was closed in the first half of 2014—The Agency expects to bring in an additional $80 million by the year's end.

“We are thrilled with the continued momentum of sales through the second and third quarters of 2014, and are looking forward to closing out what will be an incredibly successful year,” says Samantha Sax, Executive Vice President, Marketing and Sales for Elad Group.  “We saw eight newly accepted deals in June alone, followed by a remarkable acceleration of sales and closings during the months of October and November.”

If interested in buying something in The Carlyle Residences, there are only a few homes left on the market, including the last penthouse, called the Minotti Penthouse. Found on the 23rd floor, the full-furnished Minotti costs $9.916 million—$1 million of which is due to the hand-picked furniture, lighting, décor, and curated art. The 5,283-square-foot condo has three bedrooms, four-and-a-half bathrooms, and features 13-foot ceilings with huge windows. Plus, every exposure has a balcony or terrace.

“Buyers continue to respond to the lifestyle offered at the Carlyle, exceeding all our expectations,” says Mauricio Umansky, CEO and Co-Founder of The Agency.  “The Carlyle has become an international hub for business executives looking for a part time home on the West Coast, and traffic has increased tremendously since early spring.  We’re also seeing a lot of activity from local buyers looking to relocate to the heart of Westwood, empty nesters and those in the second home market.  With the building’s full-service amenities, expansive floor plans, high-end finishes and stunning views—there is truly something for everybody.”

The rest of the residences up for grabs range from "2,772-square-foot two-bedrooms to 5,283-square-foot three-bedrooms with pricing starting at $2.595 million."
