Wamhouse designer Karina Wiciak has finally revealed the third design in her four-part Pastel Collection, Suszarnia. Polish for “drying room,” the restaurant interior follows the fantasy-like theme of its predecessors, featuring interconnected furniture and fittings.
“The author's assumption is not to create trite, fashionable interiors, but non-standard places, at the borderline between architecture and scenography,” states Wamhouse. Using yellow as its overall template, Suszarnia resembles a desert oasis with a floor meant to simulate sand. Golden curtains and palm trees add the remaining pops of colors, while hanging lights take on the shape of the sun and moon. Table and chairs look like repurposed boulders, while the sharp-edged walls have a slight militaristic vibe.
Though still whimsical and fun, the Suszarnia design definitely features a harsher overall tone than the previous Pastel offerings. As for what the last installment will look like, we will just have to wait and see.
