The Jewels of France Have Arrived

If the event’s title has not captured your attention adequately enough yet, maybe the artists showcased at this year’s Jewels of France trunk show and exhibition will. The event features an array of fine jewelry from seven of the most coveted bijoutiers (jewelers) in France. The collections vary dramatically from one another, however the jewelers do posses a common trait: the French savior-faire for craftsmanship and passion, duly noted in their work on display.

The fifth anniversary for Jewels of France commenced in San Francisco at Shreve & Co. Next stop is Beverly Hills at Jewels by Nasrin Imani. The opening night reception will be done in French fashion, mais bien sur, complete with a red carpet, fine food and wine, and models on the loose ornamented with gleaming gems as beacons of beauty.

New collections will be featured by such renowned talents in the industry as Damoiselle D, offering examples of why diamonds are a girl’s best friend with their watches made exclusively for women. Mathon will be present with "their dazzling use of color and nature inspired motifs." Opera soprano, Valerie MacCarthy, will exhibit her "eco-inspired creations of gold, silver, and Brazilian wood."

Additional majestic participants include Poiray, PACOMA, and Aveva. However, this year's newcomer Edéenne takes the cake, in my humble opinion. Just one look set Edéenne apart and in a class of her own. A story is told through each of her one-of-a-kind creations, from the fairy tales we grew up with, to personal portraits based on the commissioned pieces. Edéenne has already had a world tour of her own, including an exhibit twice at the Museum of the Legion of Honor in Paris. Her artistic creations have made people smile, laugh and cry. Yes, the Jewels of France will make quite an impact and you will not want to miss it!

The Jewels of France trunk show will be open from October 18 through October 20, 2011 at Jewels by Nasrin Imani, 9777 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 516, Beverly Hills, California, and is presented by The French Trade Commission and The Mark Kearney Group, luxury lifestyle events producers.
