Gentlemen, If your plans include snuggling with your favorite gal while roasting chestnuts over an open fire and watching a few movies on DVD this holiday season, here is list of flicks that are guaranteed to show her your softer side. Conversely, if you prefer not to be seen blubbering like a baby, heed this notice.

Play.com, a London-based e-tailer of home-entertainment and leisure products, compiled a list of films that reduces grown men to tears. The findings are based upon a survey the firm conducted with its male customers.

The first-made of the three Toy Story film tops the list. Forrest Gump and the third film of the original of Star Wars trilogy, Return of the Jedi, round out the top three. ET, Jerry McGuire, Titanic, The Notebook, Marley And Me, Shawshank Redemption and Up. Saving Private Ryan, and Dead Poets Society. Babe, Short Circuit, Out of Africa and the Arnie action-adventure Terminator 2 also have been cited as serious tear releasers for guys.

"Most men try to hide their feelings but sometimes you've just got to let it out. There's no shame in having a few tears at a film. A good movie is meant to bring out emotion," said Play.com's COO Stuart Rowe.

Mr. Rowe also pointed out that the purpose of conveying the info is to warn men in order to avoid the embarrassment of breaking down in front of their mates while watching any of these movies in their presence.
