Which U.S. Nightclub Made $70 Million in 2011?

Technomic Inc. & Nightclub.com took a look at some of the country’s hottest bars and nightclubs and put together a list of the Top 100 highest grossing venues in 2011. Check out their picks to see where celebrities, A-listers, and socialites spent their cash last year in each of these major party cities.

#1 The Marquee, Las Vegas $60-70 Million


Las Vegas stole the show last year nearly securing all top ten spots for the highest grossing clubs. The Marquee, however, was not only the top Vegas nightclub, it was also #1 on Technomic and Nightclub & Bar’s Top 100 list for 2011.

#5 LIV, Miami Beach $35-45 Million


LIV Nightclub was the hottest spot in Miami and also placed #5 on the 2011 list. With private sky boxes, exclusive lounges, and sexy, Latin dancers, LIV is known as the place to see and be seen.

#10 LAVO, New York City $25-35 Million


New York City may seem to have a never-ending supply of luxury bars and nightclubs, but it was LAVO in NYC that had New Yorkers spending their cash. Number 1 in New York and #10 in the country, the multiple levels in this unique bar allow guests to dance, eat, and drink in style.

#11 The Pool After Dark, Atlantic City $25-35 Million


Aquamarine pools, palm trees, and a star-studded guest list made this glamorous venue the top destination in Atlantic City and #11 on the Top 100. Celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Carmen Electra have been seen enjoying The Pool After Dark’s bottle service and private cabanas.

#16 Avalon, Los Angeles $15-25 Million


This multi-use venue situated in a historic building across from The Capital Records building hosts some of the hottest live concerts, DJs, and performances in the country making Avalon the destination in L.A. It’s no wonder it was among the top-twenty of 2011’s highest grossing nightclubs.

#24 FLUXX, San Diego $10-15 Million


Downtown San Diego’s FLUXX Nightclub had Southern California living large with its state-of-the-art design, sound system, and lighting. FLUXX was where San Diego’s elite socialites spent the most money last year, landing the club in spot #24 on the Top 100.

#27 Masquerade, New Orleans $10-15 Million


With its flashy performers, modern décor, and sophisticated visual effects, Masquerade had New Orleanians partying like Mardi Gras never ended. Located in Harrah’s in Downtown New Orleans, Masquerade was the city’s top nightlife venue and one of the top thirty highest grossing bars and nightclubs in the country last year.

#29 Roof At The Wit, Chicago $10-15 Million


This cozy, urban rooftop bar with its fireplaces and airy views of the city made Roof at the Wit Chicago’s favorite after-work and weekend spot to socialize. Not only was it among Nightclub & Bar’s top thirty biggest money makers last year, it was also selected by USA Today as one of the “Top 10 Best Rooftop Bars in the Country.”

#37 Opera Nightclub, Atlanta $10-15 Million


The luxurious Opera Nightclub in mid-town Atlanta with its incredible DJ lineup, dancers, and live music made this club Atlanta’s top choice to enjoy a Friday and Saturday night. Guests shelled out big bucks last year leading the club to land spot #37 on 2011’s Top 100.

#44 P.O.V., Washington, DC $10-15 Million


P.O.V’s rooftop views of Washington DC’s capital buildings made it the number one after work and weekend destination in D.C. and #44 in the country. Signature drinks, a food and wine menu designed by Chef Jean-George, and a beautiful outdoor terrace make this a luxurious place to be seen in the nation’s capital.

#57 1015 Folsom, San Francisco $10-15 Million


Three large dance floors, internationally recognized DJs, and an ultra-cool ambiance made this San Francisco’s top grossing bar last year. Despite the spaciousness of 1015 Folsom’s venue, it is notoriously packed, leading to its placement among 2011's top sixty highest grossing bars.

#77 Axis Radius, Scottsdale $5-10 Million


Located in Old Town Scottsdale, Axis Radius has been one of the city’s most popular destinations for more than ten years and was certainly the number one fan favorite in 2011. It placed #77 on the Top 100 highest grossing bars last year.
