In Detroit, 100 football fanatics with $9,500 to spend will soon be able to experience the thrill of the game from the most up-close-and-personal vantage point of any National Football League stadium anywhere. The Detroit Lions have teamed up with MGM Grand Detroit to create the fantasy MGM Grand Detroit Tunnel Club, a membership-only luxury space and experience at Ford Field. Now in construction, it’s designed to become the most private luxury lounge in the NFL, built directly adjacent to the Detroit Lions locker room inside the Michigan team’s tunnel where the football stars get pumped up for the big game.

“Our team is excited to enter into this partnership with the Detroit Lions,” says MGM Grand Detroit President and COO Steve Zanella.“The MGM Grand Detroit Tunnel Club is truly a one-of-a-kind game day experience.” During home games and at stadium events, the Club’s glass-walled and velvet-roped areas will provide the only behind-the-scenes views of Lions players as they enter and exit the gridiron. Previously, only Texas' AT&T Stadium has attempted to offer pre-game tunnel views, but the Dallas Cowboys club isn’t nearly the intimate experience that the MGM Grand Detroit Tunnel Club promises to be.

“Season members and guests will experience high energy and pronounced interactivity with Lions players throughout game day,” says Tom Lewand, Detroit Lions Team President. “They’ll be right there when the players are coming in and out of the locker room for pre-game, half-time and post-game. That type of engagement can’t be replicated anywhere else.”

Other exclusive perks include unlimited food and non-alcoholic drinks (those will cost extra), a private corner lounge, field-level seating in a newly-extended end zone, and an area with casual bleacher-style seating. Members will also have early admission three hours before kickoff, allowing them to catch every second of the pre-game action like a genuine insider. Given that the MGM Grand Detroit is the only Forbes Four-Star hotel in town, it's a given that their Ford Field luxury lounge will be a hospitality game-changer, bringing the gold-standard to the gridiron for the first time.
