Aston Martin Cruelly Teases Us With the Roar of Vulcan's Engines

Photo/Video Credit: Aston Martin

Last week Aston Martin released the above video, a cloak and dagger clip starring the engine roar of their highly-anticipated Vulcan. The supercar won’t be unveiled until the Geneva Auto Show, so we’ve been scrambling for all the details we could find to sate our appetites for the awesomely-named car.

Though Aston Martin is remaining pretty tight-lipped about the car, they have said that the Vulcan will be “the most extreme Aston Martin in [their] 102-year history.” According to GT Spirit, the auto’s name may be in reference to the Vulcan fighter jet utilized by the Royal Air Force from 1956 to 1984—though it will also remind one of Star Trek, which certainly doesn’t hurt. There’s talk that the track-only Vulcan will be limited to only 30 models and may be the last naturally-aspirated V12 to be utilized by the marque—new line-ups will be getting twin-turbo V8 engines.

Considering this design is supposed to be their most extreme offering yet, we’re expecting the Vulcan to have a pretty impressive top speed and be able to get from 0-60mph in at least three seconds.

March has never seemed so far away. Here’s hoping Aston Martin takes pity on us and releases another teaser soon.
