It’s light on its tires with a curb weight of just 2,375 pounds, making it nearly 1,000 pounds lighter than a Corvette ZR-1. Speaking of the Corvette, the Rapier Superlight is powered by one of three Chevrolet-derived engine options and features a Ricardo six-speed manual transmission. With the 7.0 liter LS7 engine, the Rapier Superlight does a quarter mile in 10.6 seconds and has a top speed of 222 mph. Its zero-to-60-mph stat in 3.2 seconds is flabbergasting.
Just like a baby, it takes nine months from order date to deliver a custom-built mid-engine Rapier Superlight from the Boston-based carmaker. Pricing on the custom-built super sports car begins at $179,000.
