Fall is here until December 20 — at least officially — so we have plenty of time to take advantage of the cooler weather before the winter chill comes on. For some of us, weather doesn't really matter much, not when you have a yacht charter to plan. Regardless of the climate where you actually live, you can always plan a trip to…how does the Mediterranean sound? Or the Caribbean? From huge 205-foot yachts Gatsby himself would lust over to Johnny Depp's pirate themed vessel, we have a great selection of six charters to chase fall with.

Moorings 5800 — 6 Cabin Catamaran

Price: Around $21,800 for 10 day charter with 12 people

For those who want some privacy during your Caribbean vacation to Tortola in the British Virgin Islands, the Moorings 5800 flagship catamaran is a wonderful option because there's no crew around to get in your way. Designed by Robertson & Caine, the 5800 impresses with its split level accommodation design — meaning that two guest staterooms are on the main deck level, while four are on the lower deck. The teak-style decking and high-end electronics help make this a comfortable and stylish option for your charter. With a huge fly-bridge and 360-degree views, this catamaran is perfect for groups of up to 12. The yacht is apparently pretty easy to maneuver thanks to all sail control lines being led directly to the helm station for complete control. It also features electric winches, a Raymarine Navigation System to keep you from getting lost, wind instruments, depth and speed transducers, solar panels, and a complete entertainment system.

It's important to know that Moorings requires two skipper resumes to sail their 5800. They even send one of their own skippers with you for the first day of the charter to make sure everything is alright.

Lady Lola — Fully Equipped Yacht

Price: From $365K to $430K per week

If you're planning on hosting a Gatsby approved party, but want to do it on the sea, this 205-foot yacht is a good choice. Especially if you're wanting to cruise around the Mediterranean with a crew of 16 to make sure your every need is met. Lady Lola has everything you would expect in terms of amenities, including state-of-the-art audio/visual equipment, as well as luxury suites and viewing terraces. From private decks just for you and the golf tee on the sundeck to the custom Jubilee Anniversary Edition Steinway Grand Piano (limited edition of 300) to show off your skills, Lady Lola even has a "Cinema in the Sky" projector to host private screenings.

M/Y Alexander — Motor Yacht

Price: Around $133K per day

This pricey 122-meter yacht is based in the Mediterranean and can accommodate 81 of your closest friends and family. Designed to be more like a cruise ship than a standard yacht, M/Y Alexander comes fully equipped with a movie theater, a disco (it better include a mirror ball), swimming pool, whirlpool, and a crew of 58. With 44 bathrooms scattered throughout the vessel, there are 39 guest cabins and an onboard hospital just in case your partying buddies get a little out of control. Oh, and there's also a helipad just in case a high profile guest needs to make a grand entrance.

Amphitrite — Formerly Johnny Depp's Vajoliroja

Price: Approximately $110K to $130K per week

We're not sure if Johnny Depp merely changed the name of Vajoliroja or if someone finally bought his luxury yacht, but whatever happened, this iconic vessel has been renamed Amphitrite — Greek mythology's sea-goddess and wife of Poseidon. Charter company Burgess has plenty of photos and details available, though be warned because the photos show the Art Deco-inspired Vajoliroja, not Amphitrite — even down to the pirate décor and embossed pillows. The current charter price is by inquiry only but the above price was current earlier in the year, so we're willing to bet the price per week is pretty similar.

Moorings 4600 — 3 Cabin Catamaran

Price: $9K for 10 day charter with six people

Also from Moorings, this 4600 catamaran has three guest cabins, a spacious interior with a full entertainment center, and a large deck. Apparently the kitchen is pretty impressive, which is probably because of the onboard private chef who will whip up gourmet meals every day for you to eat in the cockpit under a hardtop roof. With plenty of room to relax and work on your tan, the deck has two rear platforms for swimming, while the connecting cross deck between the two hulls make enjoying watersports quick and easy.

There is a rear right cabin and bathroom that is reserved solely for the crew, aside from the three guest cabins onboard.

Southern Cloud — Sailing Yacht

Price: Starting from $2K per hour and from $66K per week

Have you ever wanted to sail around the Great Barrier Reef? If so, this 40-meter yacht is for you. Southern Cloud's Danish workmanship brings elegance to the waves, giving just enough room to feel like you are on your very own private vessel. Able to accommodate up to 12 guests in seven cabins, the triple-masted boat features wide teak decks perfect for cocktail parties and comes equipped with many water toys (from dive gear to wakeboards). Designed for long range cruising, you'll have the option of exploring far past Australian waters, all the way to Tahiti and Fiji if you choose.
