Princess Mariana Superyacht in Virgin Gorda Gets Splashy

Luxury Yachts: It takes some doing to impress the folk hanging at the Bitter End Yacht Club on Virgin Gorda. After all, great looking yachts coming in and heading out of the third largest island of the BVI is an everyday occurrence around here. However, we are betting that the 258-foot Princess Mariana would turn a few heads without even making a ripple.

This superyacht’s most impressive feature is dubbed the Beach Club. There is a starboard side dry dock that when the tender is removed it morphs into a 39-foot pool with underwater lighting. And it gets even better. The tender’s hull lowers to just above sea level and transforms into a sundeck with steps leading down to the pool.

There also is a heli-pad, a 13-seat cinema, a driving range, a fully equipped gym, and a party deck. The enormous deck has two bars, a raised dance floor, three cinema-size screens, a hot tub, and a grand piano. Including the owner’s palatial quarters, there are six staterooms that accommodate 12 overnight guests. The Princess Mariana’s crew has 26 members.

Shortly after the Princess Mariana’s $12-million refit, the superyacht had to be chartered for a minimum of two weeks. It is now offered on a weekly basis at €650,000, which is a tad under $900,000.

The gang at the Bitter End Yacht Club will be impressed by this one.
