Riva Yachts Launches Home Couture Collection

Luxury Yachts: Iconic Italian motoryacht brand Riva has launched an exclusive new collection of furnishings and design accents for the interiors of their luxury watercraft or clients homes. The first Riva Home Couture collection, available by special order only, is designed to evoke unique effects such as the surface of the finest handcrafted mahogany found on Rivas yachts, which start at about $1 million. Pure and precious materials such as cashmere, silk, saddle leather, linen, silver and brass are the main elements the luxe new line.

The collection includes throw pillows and the Scia (wake) blanket in pure cashmere, with a line of decreased stitches mimicking the wake of a classic Riva yacht, and a beach bag in leather with an inner lining in linen printed with archival Riva images. A pendant on the outside of the bag reproduces the famous cock-crest shaped bollard designed by Carlo Riva. Riva, which has collaborated with Veuve Clicquot on a collection of luxurious champagne accessories, gained famed in the 60s as the favored conveyance for the likes of Brigitte Bardot, Richard Burton, Sophia Loren, Aristotle Onassis and Prince Ranier of Monaco on the Italian Riviera.
