Like a young teen that recently joined Facebook, The Ritz-Carlton just can't seem to get its fill of social media. The company recently launched a Ritz-Carlton Reserve Tumblr profile, which marks the twelfth social media account for the luxury hotel chain and focuses specifically on the brand's Reserve properties. Still, with 12 of these social profiles to keep up with the world and their followers, the brand is being set up as one of the most accessible companies in the typically exclusive luxury industry.

Although Tumblr doesn’t have as many users as the other social outlets that other Ritz-Carlton accounts use like Facebook or Twitter, Tumblr’s format allows the Reserve brands to easily draft and publish full-length articles. With this, their social media team can create more written and visual content that's far more journalistic in nature.

What's even better for the brand is that people can learn more about the properties throught Tumblr without ever needing to sign up for an account of their own. While the current selection of open Ritz-Carlton Reserve properties sits humbly at two—one at Dorado Beach, Puerto Rico and the other in Thailand at Phulay Bay—six additional properties are already slated to open. Their locations include:

  • Los Cabos, Mexico
  • West Caicos, Turks and Caicos
  • Pearl Island, Panama
  • Tamuda Bay, Morocco
  • Muscat, Oman
  • Bali, Indonesia (Will be the next to open in late 2014)

Those who want to follow along in The Ritz-Carlton's large network of social accounts can find the brand's profiles on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Foursquare, LinkedIn, YouTube, Google+, Instagram, WeChat, YouKu and Sina Weibo. Additionally, the brand is asking for stories and memories to be shared online through any of the aforementioned sites and tagged with #RCMemories.
