U.S.pizza chain Papa John's has bigger issues baking than the NFL's Peyton Manning unexpectedly doubling the free-pizza giveaways this season to 2 million. Giving away a miilion extra free pizzas will be a lot easier task than sidestepping a $250 million lawsuit for sendng out a half-million unwanted emails to customers.
The spam texts offered deals for pizza, and some customers complained they were getting 15 or 16 texts in a row, even during the middle of the night, according Donald Heyrich, an attorney representing the class.
