Palace Hotel Tokyo Will Debut First Evian Spa in Japan

The Palace Hotel Tokyo will be the first hotel to have an Evian Spa in Japan. The hotel is the anchor of the $1.2 billion multi-use development. The hotel near the Imperial Palace has 10 new restaurants and bars with cuisine that ranges from Japanese and Chinese to French fare. The new luxury hotel, which opens May 17, 2012, has 290 rooms available for guests that have been placed in 12 separate categories. "There is only one Tokyo, and there will only be one experience like the Palace Hotel," said Takashi Kobayashi, the president of the Palace Hotel Tokyo. "From the Aji stones at our entrance to the linens in our guest rooms, from the omotenashi at first encounter to the general management, we're celebrating an unfiltered appreciation of our country's culture."... Luxury Hotel Collection Will Open New Resort in China Early 2014

Luxury hotel brand One&Only announced that its first hotel and resort in China will open in early 2014. China’s first One&Only is being raised on Tufu Bay in Sanya, Hainan, China. Tufu Bay looks out onto the South China Sea. There are several luxury hotel brands, such as Mandarin Oriental, with hotels and resorts in Sanya, the southernmost city in the People’s Republic of China.

The One&Only Sanya resort will place an emphasis on privacy and luxury while evoking a “sense of place” that showcases the natural elements of Sanya. The deluxe hotel and resort, which is being built on 40 acres of private coastline, will have 180 guestrooms and villas available on the mixed-use luxury property.... Read More

Even from the windows at the top of the Ritz-Carlton, which occupies all of the utmost levels of the building, it takes a moment of studying the landscape: realizing that you can blot out cars and semi-trucks down below with the tip of your thumb. Helicopters are not authorized to fly as high as the space that the hotel occupies. That is how high it is.
