May 1, 2013 | Contributor: Mila PantovichMany people buy economy plane tickets in hopes that once they get to the departure gate they can upgrade for free into an unclaimed business class seat. This possibility looks to be on the decline though thanks to various airlines around the world which are now launching online upgrade auctions, enabling economy fliers to engage in a blind bid for business class seats days before their flight. Not only does this move make the airlines some extra cash, it opens up business class seats to a much wider array of people, basically eliminating the possibility of a lucky free upgrade at the gate.... More than a boat, the wFoil uses its hydrofoils to soar above the water in much the same way a plane uses its wings, giving you the option of bypassing rough waters by speeding over them.... Apr 24, 2013 | Contributor: Mila PantovichHave you ever been in a bar with some friends and been sent a random drink from a stranger across the room? Even if you're not interested in the sender (maybe he has a face tattoo ? la Mike Tyson), it can be nice to be noticed and you have the option of getting out of there if things get weird. Now imagine that same situation while 35,000 feet in the air because Virgin America is taking meet cutes (those absurdly adorable movie moments where lovers meet for the first time) to a whole new level — let's just hope you like the attention because you can't exactly hop off the flight as you could leave a bar.... Feb 28, 2013 | Contributor: Tina StewartWe hear that flying is supposedly safer than other forms of travel, such as driving and rail — try telling that to your shaking legs at 20,000 feet though. Whether you are flying commercial or on a luxury private jet, flying jitters can overcome even the best of us. One thing an aviation company can do to assuage fears is make sure their technicians undergo the best training possible and Flexjet has done just that.
