Finnair Unveils Their Flagship Next-Generation Airbus A350 XWB Aircraft

Last week Finnair revealed their new cabin design for their flagship next-generation Airbus A350 XWB aircraft, which is due for service next year. Designed by Helsinki firm dSign Vertti Kivi & Co. (the same company that designed Finnair's Premium Lounge at Helsinki Airport), the aircraft boasts a large cabin with panoramic windows and comfortable seating arrangements for business class passengers.

Ixion Jet Concept Forgoes Windows for Floor-to-Ceiling Digital Screens

The Ixion jet concept from design firm Technicon forgoes traditional windows in favor of floor-to-ceiling panorama screens—which isn't really a new idea at all, since Spike Aerospace announced that their supersonic jet would have digital screens earlier in the year. The new concept gives fliers a high-resolution livestream "video" of what's going on outside so they have something to gaze at while flying.
