Luxury cruise line Crystal Cruises has just unveiled the newly renovated Crystal Symphony, the first step in completing a $65 million, five-year plan to redesign every room aboard the award-winning ship.
In a two-week extreme makeover, the Crystal Symphony received updates to major public spaces including the Avenue Saloon, Palm Court lounge, Galaxy showroom, Hollywood Theatre, Bridge Lounge, Fantasia and Waves "junior cruisers" areas, and the Tender Landing/passenger boarding area.
The renovation also features special touches to staterooms as well as paddle tennis court resurfacing, restoration of tender shuttles, more energy-efficient hull paint, galley updates, and general maintenance and detailing of the entire ship, from propellers to lifeboats.
Updates made to the Crystal Symphony were inspired by hallmarks in classic luxury living from around the country including New York's 21 Club, Hollywood's Coconut Grove, and Palm Beach country club life, with special consideration to drama, ambiance, and environmental-friendliness. "In keeping with our tremendous focus on design, we wanted to create something both highly contemporary and yet extremely accessible," says President Gregg Michel.
"The ultimate result is all our guests' favorite gathering places now feeling even more welcoming, while also offering the stylish sophistication and comfortable elegance luxury travelers look for in a vacation setting, and expect from Crystal."
The new all-inclusive cocktail and wine program can now be enjoyed in the refreshed décor and lighting of the Avenue Saloon and Palm Court, influenced by Old Hollywood with a touch of glamour. The dramatic cinematic feel goes outside the saloon and lounges into the entertainment arenas, with the Galaxy Lounge and Hollywood Theatre. Now, no matter what activities seafarers engage in while aboard the Crystal Symphony, they'll do it in an ambience of class and style. Learn more at CrystalCruises.com.
