It’s not every day that the President and CEO of a cruise line invites you to dinner, let alone a seven-night feast. But on July 26, that is exactly what Michael Bayley has in mind for Captain’s Club Members boarding Celebrity Equinox for a foodie adventure. Departing from Rome, the 2014 President's Cruise will feature a series of events designed for its Celebrity’s Captain’s Club loyalty program members. There will be a number of opportunities to choose from for exquisite dining experiences.

During your travels, you’ll make stops in Florence, Nice, Ajaccio, Porto Torres, Palma de Mallorca, and ending in Barcelona, Spain. The evenings will also include live entertainment from acts such as Tenors Unlimited; The Overtures, performing the best of the ‘60s; singer-pianist Perry Grant; Sin City Comedy, a late-night stand-up and burlesque show direct from Las Vegas; and more.


Dining Experiences

A Taste of Nice: Savor a $95 prix fixe, four-course Mediterranean dinner created by Celebrity Chefs Thomas Szymanski and Thierry Houlbert with locally-caught seafood, farm-to-table vegetables, artisanal olive oils, local wine pairings and dessert.

New York Pop-Up evening: Recreating its first pop-up restaurant on land in 2012, Celebrity is offering Captain’s Club members who reserve a space, a chance to try that same experience. The four-course menu designed by Chef Suley features modern seasonal delights made with sustainable and organic products. Included in the $95 prix fixe price will be a copy of Celebrity’s hardbound Excite the Senses culinary and lifestyle book.

Molecular Cocktail dinner: For a truly ‘uniquely unordinary’ experience, Celebrity’s James Beard-featured Chef John Suley and “The Liquid Chef” Junior Merino partner to create a fusion of cocktails paired with a $95 prix fixe menu inspired by Celebrity’s engaging specialty restaurant, Qsine.

A Taste of Spain: Spain’s delicacies, fine wines and infamous tapas will be brought right to your table along with samplings of olive oils direct from Andalusia for only $95 per person. Hosting the evening will be Celebrity Chefs Rufino Rengifo and Thierry Houlbert, together with Master Sommelier Andrea Immer Robinson.

James Beard House dinner: In 2012 James Beard House invited Celebrity cruise line to prepare dinner at their establishment, a first among the cruise industry. This $195 per person menu will replicate that meal and will offer contemporary and globally-influenced classics along with an array of award-winning wines. The four-course dinner co-hosted by Master Sommelier Andrea Immer Robinson will be served in the private Murano restaurant wine cellar. With dinner, guests will receive a copy of Celebrity’s hardbound Excite the Senses culinary and lifestyle book.

Rates start at $1,579 per person and included five dining experiences, a Q&A with Bayley and a complimentary private Captain’s club party in a medieval Tuscan village. Select shore excursions will also be available like scenic tours and tastings at the Tenute Nozzole winery. If you’re feeling more adventurous, opt for one of the Celebrity Exclusives℠ and view the countryside by hot air balloon, fly by helicopter to an intimate lunch at Chef Alain Ducasse’s Provencal Inn or zip through the streets of Côte d’Azur via Ferrari.
