Three white washed colonial homes restored from the 17th century, make up one of the newest luxury hotels in Cartagena, Colombia, Casa San Agustín. The historic buildings have been combined to offer guests traveling through South America chic, locally inspired guestrooms and suites, fine dining, and proximity to the Caribbean Sea, beaches, nearby islands, and access to the rich culture of the walled city.
The boutique hotel consists of 22 charming guestrooms and nine spacious suites that seamlessly combine old world colonial architecture with modern amenities. The cozy surroundings are inspired by the city’s heritage and feature soothing colors of white, blues and greens mixed with dark wood furnishings and Colombian styling.
Large windows and balconies help bring the outdoors in, and some guestrooms include a private plunge pool or Jacuzzi. The beds are outfitted in the softest Frette linens while the bathroom is stocked with Ortigia products. Guests will also find flat screen HD TVs with surround sound, DVD players, iPod docking station, and fully stocked mini bar, among other amenities.
