Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces has opened Taj Santacruz, its fourth luxury hotel in Mumbai, the hotelier’s home city. Located near the Western Express Highway and regional airport, the property offers a strategic location near the city’s financial and entertainment centers.

Reflecting Mumbai’s cultural quilt of cuisines, languages, art, film and festivals, Taj Santacruz’s architecture is a blend of colors and styles. An Indian design ethic is infused throughout the property, with Deco references giving a nod to south Mumbai’s historical buildings, while rich, contemporary flair in the lobby and guest quarters echo the city’s European legacy. Paintings and sculptures by traditional Indian artists provide local accents to common rooms.

The two most lavish accommodations, the Presidential and Grand Luxury suites, have separate living spaces and kitchenettes. In-house dining options include Tiqri for global street food including local favorites, Rivea for French-Italian fusion and Enoteca, Rivea’s wine tasting room. The hotel also features a beauty salon, fitness center and swimming pool.
