Luxury Hotels: When the topic of chic boutique hotels is on the table, which cities spring to mind for having those eclectic lodgings that permeate style and cool? How far removed from the top three on your list would Omaha rank? The 145-room Magnolia Hotel Omaha is the sole boutique hotel in the downtown area. The foyer is a sight for designing eyes with its original marble floors and Roman columns.

The hotel is in a building, the Aquila Court Building, which was erected in 1923, and is on the National Register of Historic Places. It was originally designed to resemble a Florentine palace for the purpose of accommodating retail and business offices. The Magnolia Hotel Omaha retains that classic Italian motif throughout the property inside and out.

The Denver-based hotelier is renowned for having its properties based in historical-rich buildings that are restored to their original glory and then filled with very appealing luxury amenities, including a complimentary breakfast and nightly happy hour.

In addition to Omaha, Magnolia Hotels has luxury hotels in Houston, Dallas, College Station, and Denver.
