In 2015, travelers to Malta with beyond3sixty and Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa will be able to get a back-door entrance to many of the island’s world-famous historic attractions, private homes and Palazzos on the Private Malta program. Offering trips from January 21-25, March 19-23, June 7-11, and September 10-14, highlights include the silent city of Mdina, private visits to St. John’s Cathedral, musical performances in Palazzos and a yacht tour of The Grand Harbour.

Another aspect of the trip will be a focus on the past, present and future of the island. In 1942, in recognition of their bravery in the last World War, the people of Malta were awarded the George Cross by the British King George V1. And come 2018, Valetta will host Europe’s City of Culture. Both of these happenings will be discussed during the journey, allowing guests to understand both the old and new aspects of the island.

“Our aim,’’ says creator Jim Dunn, a British resident of Malta and an advisor to the Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa, “is to not only let the visitors see and learn much of Malta’s tremendous history over the centuries, but to enable visitors meet the locals in their homes for a private visit over a lunch, dinner or coffee.”

Today, the city is undergoing a major facelift with private and public structures undergoing renovations as well as the debut of a new Parliament building designed by word-famous Italian designer Renzo Piano. Managing and creating the itineraries is beyond3sixty, who specialize in creating luxury and bespoke holidays in the Maltese Islands and Sicily. Through their experiences and extensive networks, travelers will get an inside look at this Southern European island country.

“With that in mind, our aim is to give visitors a VIP experience like no other. It will include private arrivals and transfers, five-star hotel accommodation, and access to many of the island’s true gems – most of which are rarely open to the public,” said Dunn.

Rates start at around USD $2,629 per person (in a group) for four nights’ accommodation at Corinthia Palace Hotel & SPA in a deluxe twin room and includes all meals, transfers, guides and taxes.
