Tower of the Americas

Standing at 750 feet tall, the Tower of the Americas is one of the most recognizable buildings in downtown San Antonio. While it is super photogenic from the outside, save some of your snaps for an excursion inside where you can ‘gram the panoramic view or a luxurious meal at the Chart House Restaurant.

Brackenridge Park

Within walking distance of the San Antonio Zoo is Brackenridge Park, one of the largest and oldest parks in the city. In addition to a multitude of hiking and biking trails, there is also a train that will take you on a casual ride through the park. Be sure to stop for a photo-op in the Japanese Tea Gardens while you’re there!

San Antonio Botanical Gardens

Thirty-three acres of Mahncke Park are dedicated to winding botanical gardens and dozens of native Texas flowers, succulents and shrubbery. While a floral background is always a great spot to snap a great pic, don’t miss out on the opportunity to snag a photo of one of the 228 different species of birds that frequent the gardens.

The Historic Pearl

Though called the “Historic” Pearl, this 22-acre mixed-use space is anything but dated. Offering access to both ultra-modern retail and classic brick architecture, The Pearl blends old and new in a way that truly reflects the spirit of San Antonio. The area is also super dog-friendly, making it the perfect place to get a close-up with your pup.

San Antonio River Walk

Located just one story below San Antonio’s busy downtown streets is the famed River Walk. The five-mile stroll consists of a winding network of walkways running parallel alongside the San Antonio River, lined by shops, restaurants, bars, and more. Historic, moss-covered stone bridges arch over the walkways, which eventually lead to other city hot spots like the Arneson River Theatre and the Peal Brewery.

The Alamo

No list about San Antonio is complete if you don’t remember the Alamo (see what we did there?) The old fort is arguably the most famous attraction in Texas and one of the most visited historical sites in the United States. After touring the Texas history museum inside, don’t miss the opportunity for a photo in front of the building’s iconic brick church.

The St. Anthony

This, the most beloved of San Antonio luxury hotels, is now restored to the opulence that made her storied halls the haunt of politicos, princesses and a-list celebrities. The St. Anthony Hotel, a designated national historic landmark, has been completely restored to offer the grace, style and service of a bygone era with the modern conveniences today’s travelers require. Overlooking Travis Park, our downtown San Antonio hotel is three blocks to both the Alamo and the Riverwalk. ...(Read More)
