While many restaurants will try to distract diners by engaging all of their senses, purists truly eat out for the tastes, while others are there in order to be seen. If you are one of the former then Opaque, at the U.S. Grant Hotel, comes highly recommended.
The dining room is pitch black, you literally have to feel your way to the salt and pepper, thus allowing the flavors to stand out. Call for reservations, as the restaurant is only open once a week, and very clandestine about the venue?s details.

SSSooooo Cool! This was an amazing experience. The food was so good and it was just made better by not being able to see it. I know, weird. But awesome!
