Season 10 – Andi and Josh

On July 28, 2014 Bachelorette viewers watched Josh Murray get down on one knee to propose to Andi Dorman in the Dominican Republic. Last year’s hotel of choice for the lovers? Paradisus Punta Cana Resort. The Four-Diamond, all-inclusive hotel is home to 694 rooms, five pools, 12 restaurants and 10 bars, the Yhi Spa, a casino and a fully-equipped fitness center. According to HotelChatter, Andi took her suitors on their overnight fantasy dates in a Garden Beachfront Villa Suite which is available as part of the Royal Service experience.

The service is afforded to guests staying in the property’s exclusive Boutique Hotel that is designed for adults over 18. Above the standard all-inclusive offerings, Royal Service guests can take advantage of a personal butler, complimentary cellphone while on property, preferential reservations, access to a private and a VIP lounge with private check-in/check-out. The villa itself offers 5,037 square feet of space and comes with a king-size bed, private garden, terrace, pool and outdoor Bali shower. Decorated in tropical tones, the residence has a distinctly Caribbean feel with stunning views over the ocean. One of the best perks to booking one of these villas, is the access to the private beach with Bali style sunbeds and your own pool concierge. Beause who wants to lift a finger in paradise? You can book their exact suite for $3,000 a night.

Elite Island Resorts

Season 9 – Desiree and Chris

For Season 9, the last episodes take place in three hotels: The St. James Club and Villas, The Verandah Resort and Spa and the Galley Bay Resort and Spa, for the fantasy dates and final rose. All a part of Elite Island Resorts in Antigua, the properties all have their own unique characteristics to cater to varying guests. Over on a private 100-acre peninsula, St. James's Club & Villas has a more Caribbean, country-club feel to it. Located near the English Harbour, Nelson's Dockyard and Shirley Heights, the resort is great for yacht owners since it sits close the marina.

Green travelers can book the eco-friendly Verandah Resort & Spa sitting on 30 acres of waterfront property on Antigua's northeast coast. The Verandah's Caribbean village offers an all-suite layout with 180 oversized accommodations and all-inclusive amenities. Desiree herself stayed in Waterfront Suite at this hotel which can be partially be seen following her decision to break-up with Brooks. The 700-square-foot suite features a private terrace, combined living and sleeping area, emerald-green and apricot accents and vaulted ceilings. Galley Bay Resort & Spa is an all-inclusive property that sits on the west coast of Antigua and boasts 98 guestrooms, suites and cottages. Des and one of her men stayed in the Gaugin Cottage which reflects the artist’s lifestyle in Tahiti and offers a thatched roof, woven bamboo ceilings, terra-cotta tile, whitewashed walls and bold splashes of bright colors. Of the choices, this is our personal favorite.

Season 8 – Emily and Jeff

In case you haven’t noticed yet, the Bachelor franchise loves tropical destinations for proposals. Season 8 was no different as Emily found “true love” with contestant Jef on the cobble-stoned streets of Curaçao on July 22, 2012. The colorful, Caribbean island is home to the Sandton Kura Hulanda Hotel & Spa located in the Dutch Colonial district of downtown Willemstad, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The final rose ceremony took place in the Village Square of boutique property.

The 4.5-star Sandton only holds 82 rooms and suites, and is spread over eight blocks in their own little boutique village. All accommodations are individually designed with hand-painted walls, hand-carved mahogany and teak, Indian marble bathrooms, and beautiful antiques. Inside the Presidential Suite, where we can only assume Emily stayed before making her big decision, is a king bed with antique furniture, a living room, remote controlled air conditioning, wood floors and comes with its own clothing butler. Guests are also treated to complimentary Wi-Fi in the public areas, a fitness center, three pools, museum, a spa and sculpture garden. Of all the hotels seen on The Bachelorette, this may be the least glamorous. But from the looks of the surrounding city and quaint houses lining the streets, we can see the appeal of this Curaçao gem.

Season 7 – Ashley & J.P.

Of all the contestants in Bachelorette history, J.P. is my absolute favorite (swoon). And to possibly make me even more jealous of their love story, their last days before the final rose ceremony took place at Vomo Resort in Fiji. With 28-villas and two private residences, the all-inclusive five-star resort sits on a 225-acre private island. From Fiji’s main international airport, guests are transported to the hotel via a 15-minute helicopter or seaplane.

According to the LA Times, Ashley is said to have stayed in a Beachfront Villa while her family resided in one of the private four-bedroom residences. These retreats include private outdoor bathing decks, hammocks, sun loungers, and offer complimentary Wi-Fi.

The resort’s dining is also reportedly so good, that the prince and princess of Monaco sailed their yacht to the island just to get some dinner one night. Offering The Reef restaurant, private dining options and two bars, the hotel’s Executive Chef has created an array of world-class cuisine for each venue using innovative techniques. When guests aren’t dining, you’ll find them challenging themselves on the 9-hole, par-3 golf course; taking in the marine life and coral reefs while snorkeling; or caring for turtles in the resort’s nursery. Or, let’s be honest, they are probably enjoying a massage at the spa with trained Thai therapists.

Season 6 – Ali & Roberto

Dressed in a long, yellow dress, Ali proclaimed her love to Roberto on the shores of Bora Bora as he knelt before her presenting her with an engagement ring. As reported by US Weekly, the backdrop for their special day occurred near the Hilton Bora Bora Nui Resort & Spa’s chapel and later that night, the two love-birds retreated to a $1,000 a night deluxe villa.

Located on the French Polynesia group of islands, the Hilton rests on 2,624 feet of beachfront property and offers 122 rooms, many of which sit directly over the lagoon’s blue waters. Inside the King Deluxe Overwater Villa is an Italian marble bathroom, separate seating area, LCD TV, and a glass floor that lets you view the colorful marine life below. And with their own balconies and lounge chairs, we wouldn’t mind finding love here either. The property also boasts a Polynesian-style beach bar, three restaurants, an infinity pool, fitness center and a hilltop spa.

When the show wrapped, the crew was said to have celebrated by eating at Iriatai restaurant. The Mediterranean and Polynesian dining venue offers views of the lagoon and world-class cuisine. To give guests a little taste of Bora Bora, themed buffets, live music and traditional dance shows are offered on Tuesday nights. And, if you’re looking for an active vacation, the hotel has plenty of activities to keep you busy. Fishing, sailing, hiking trail, scuba diving, jet skiing, windsurfing and snorkeling are all at your fingertips.
