Villa Lunada is a surfer’s dream vacation home. Resting on Punta Mita’s southernmost tip, the estate sits directly above the area’s most famous right-point break. The villa is designed as a retreat for the affluent individual who truly enjoys an active surfer lifestyle.
Opened only three years ago and with an emphasis on an indoor/outdoor experience, the home features 5,500 square feet of space that seamlessly blends together its modern amenities with its natural surroundings. Described as “casually-elegant,” Villa Lunada offers a surfer-chic décor with warm hues coloring the interiors.
Perfect for families and larger groups, the four-bedroom six bath estate includes a master suite, two oversized en-suite guestrooms and a teen pod. The pod comes with two sets of bunk beds, a flat-screen TV, a bathroom and its own private entrance.
In the master, floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding glass doors lead to a patio overlooking Bandaras Bay. Tiled flooring, an office, living room, library and spacious soaking tub are just a few of the impressive details afforded in the master space. Each of the bathrooms in the retreat boast an indoor/outdoor design as well with folding wooden shutters that can be left open for the fresh sea air to fill the room.
Making sure that guests are always well taken care of, a staff of four is provided including a private chef who can make delicious meals for you using produce from the villa’s own organic garden. Among its amenities, one of its best highlights is the infinity pool and Jaccuzzi graciously laid out to guarantee the best views of the sparkling ocean below. In front of the pool, the fire pit is a perfect way to warm up after a day of surfing with a glass of wine in hand.
The rental also comes with access to a few different superb facilities: The St. Regis Beach Club and the Resident’s Beach Club, Hotel Cinco’s SUP and surf rentals or lessons, the Four Seasons Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course (green fee applies), and access to 16 tennis courts. When not out on the greens or in the ocean, there is also a workout room on-site as well as a massage table for in-house spa services.
Villa Lunada is effortlessly stylish and a beautiful destination for the discerning traveler who appreciates luxury just as much as the perfect wave. While a truly relaxing place, the house is best enjoyed by those whom seek adventure and find their best days are the ones where they can get outdoors and experience all that nature has to offer.
