One of the best things I did while on my honeymoon at an all-inclusive resort in Cancun was take a trip to Chichen Itza. On the way from our hotel, we also were given the opportunity to swim in a cenote (a beautiful sinkhole of sorts), which had the clearest natural water I have ever seen in my life. Anyway, we eventually got to the site of Chichen Itza itself and it was spectacular.

Upon entering the grounds, there is a tree-covered walkway that leads up to the main pyramid and, when I first laid your eyes on it, there was a feeling of splendor that is hard to put into words. In fact, the entire site of Chichen Itza is extremely impressive as there are many different structures to observe in the area. My only issue with Chichen Itza is that the grounds are packed with vendors, which takes a bit of the magic away from the site.
