New York Fashion Week Event Brings Together Leading Fashion Brands and Influencers

In a move that highlights the growing role of influencers at New York Fashion Week, a new industry event will bring together emerging fashion bloggers, brands and designers to inspire marketing collaborations. 

Hosted by Ombre Digital, the event will feature 40 designers, hailing from New York to Beurit, who will meet 40 emerging influencers and fashion bloggers in a rare opportunity to connect on a personal level. Brands will also have the opportunity to win seasonal blogger collaborations courtesy of Shopping Links, the world’s leading platform connecting brands with bloggers.

An all-woman panel led by Shopping Links founder Kim Westwood and Christine Bibbo Kerr of NYC Pretty will share their experiences, advice and strategy on effectively building relationships between bloggers and brands through open communication, developing credibility and trust, and building unique and exciting collaborations.

“I’m thrilled to participate in an event that inspires more genuine relationships between bloggers and brands, which is a primary focus for us at Shopping Links,” Kim Westwood said. “Greater access to bloggers means a greater opportunity for brands to find influencers who can create really personalized collaborations.”  

Shopping Links has launched successful collaborations for some of the world’s top brands, providing access to more than 7,500 bloggers worldwide with a highly targeted platform that allows brands to look beyond their followers and assess engagement. Bloggers on the platform are encouraged to connect their social media and Google Analytics accounts to provide verified data to brands.

Ombre Digital founder Marcus Campbell said he launched 'Blogger and the Brand' out of a passion for helping small businesses grow. "There aren't many events that focus on the small fashion designer or emerging blogger," he said. "We want to create an environment where small fashion houses can connect with modern day influencers and collaborate to efficiently build their respective brands without the pressure of having to impress. If successful, we will definitely seek to have 'Blogger and the Brand' on a larger stage, but with the same small brand focus. At Ombre, we remain committed to building the next wave of fashion branding, be it small, medium or large." 

The invitation-only event, sponsored by Vodka Mariette and Ecru New York, will take place February 15 at 7 p.m. South of France Body Care and Jenabelle will provide swag, and lifestyle subscription brand #BABESTATUS™ will give attending ladies special-edition gift-boxes. DJ SHARRI Sutton will bring her unique genre of Baile Tech mixed with fashion's top tunes for the night.
