How much would you pay for comfort and being fashion-forward? Apparently the answer is $1,200 for a pair of Uggs.
Ugg Australia has dabbled in the upscale before, with a collaboration with high-end shoe maker Jimmy Choo. That collaboration included funky materials to brighten up Uggs, including animal prints and studs. But the Ugg Collection is set to take luxury to an entirely new level.
The Ugg Collection is a new 30 piece luxe line from the famous sheepskin boot brand. The high-end line features boots and bags ranging from $500-$1,200.
According to WWD, you can expect the new collection to include an earthy palette of olive green, black and tan, with pops of royal blue and leopard. Handbag silhouettes include the side-strap satchel, a slouchy hobo and an oversize weekender bag, in Italian Toscana leather, sheepskin, merino, suede and pony hair. Ugg Collection footwear was designed to harness the comfort of Ugg Australia in more upscale designs, with booties, stacked wedges and knee-high leather boots.
It remains to be seen how much shoppers are willing to spend on "rugged luxury" when the Ugg Collection hits stores this September.
