Running around in your high-end lingerie while you scrub the floors may not sound like the perfect life, but that’s the “fantasy” that Agent Provocateur explores in their new Spring 2014 campaign. Titled Behind Closed Doors, the images are meant to be a satire of the perfect 1950s housewife, cleaning her kitchen from top to bottom, looking sexed-up and waiting for her husband to come home. “I was interested in the irony behind the idea of the ‘perfect’ woman, unfazed by the everyday pressures of life.” Agent Provocateur’s creative director Sarah Shotton explained. “Our campaign girl has it all, she’s a lady in the street and a wildcat in the bedroom and the collection mirrors her pretty perfection. It is a fantasy of silk and lace in the modern day world.”

Shot in London, photographer Miles Aldridge describes the experience as a fantasy of his own. "Shooting with Agent Provocateur was like a childhood dream come true where I drop by unannounced on a school friend to find his mother home hoovering the kitchen in just her lingerie," says Aldridge. Nice. Uncomfortable sexual undertones aside, American model Hailey Clauson brings this imagined, perfect woman to life beautifully, showing off a collection of rich lace, feminine florals and sleek lines.
