Home Décor: Founded in 1972 in Los Angeles by Hall of Fame designer Sally Sirkin Lewis, J. Robert Scott has provided clients with contemporary, well-made furnishings ever since.

From the beginning, Sally Sirkin Lewis has made an impact on the design world, and her signature style has become known as "California Design." As the recipient of more than 150 design awards and accolades, Lewis has certainly left her stamp on a number of projects.

J. Robert Scott has become a design powerhouse, creating exquisite private residences for a long list of celebrities, such as Simon Cowell, Donald Trump, and Madonna as well as prolific authors Tom Clancy, Michael Crichton and Dean Koontz.

The company's dedication to the best has made it an exceptional resource for custom-designed furniture. All pieces are manufactured by hand at a 100,000-square-foot factory in Inglewood, California. Many of the skilled craftsmen have been employed by Lewis for more than 20 years, using artisan techniques that date back to the Renaissance.

In addition to private residences, J. Robert Scott has furnished luxury hotels around the world, including: Jumeirah Beach Resort, Dubai, Hotel Sofitel, Chicago, Berkley Hotel, London, St. Regis Hotel, Osaka as well as many in Las Vegas and other cities around the world.

Utilizing an astounding array of 900 couture-quality luxury fabrics, including a distinctive range of hand-woven silks, silk mohair, wools, velvets and JRS Superkidskin, rare and exotic veneers, as well as shagreen, snake and goatskin parchment in the manufacturing of its products has also served to make J. Robert Scott one of the top design firms anywhere in the world. Because of the "unforgiving" nature of many of the finishes, the final result must be flawless to achieve maximum perfection.

The luxury textiles and furnishings has a host of patents on its unique furnishings and has recently begun a green initiative in their warehouse offices. In addition, many corporate offices, including the Getty Museum, Citibank, Dallas Cowboys Stadium Owners Club & Legends Club, IBM Corporate Offices and others have all received the J. Robert Scott special treatment.

If it can be drawn, it can be made is one of the company's mottos, serving to drive into being a leader in design around the world. The staff at J. Robert Scott is dedicated to ensuring customer satisfaction, whether it is modifying an existing piece or creating a new one. Each staff member in each showroom, which includes Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Dallas, and London as well as representation in 27 cities in 18 countries, is knowledgeable and able to arrange the customization of any item for any space.

The company's commitment to producing "Furniture as an Art Form" ensures that each piece is made to last.
