Today’s luxury real estate buyers want more than just a fabulous home. Infinity pools, state of the art gyms and world class spas are now standard in condominiums. The demands are growing and developers are pulling out all stops. Buyers don’t just want amenities. They want status. Real Estate is a serious status symbol.

The Estates At Acqualina

Enter The Estates At Acqualina. Developed by The Trump Group (no relation) and set on 5.6 acres of oceanfront property in Miami’s Sunny Isles, this residential project is slated to be the most luxurious in South Florida. Upon completion, the Estates will consist of two 50-story towers with a total of 245 ultra-luxe residences priced at $4 million to $40 million for the penthouses. The most buzzy fact about this new residential project is that the lobbies are designed by Karl Lagerfeld.

Lagerfeld’s vision for the lobbies was to blend both classical architecture and contemporary art. Photographic images of Roman fountains and arches—taken by the designer himself—will be etched into oversized wall panels, ceiling screens and skylights. These images and the spectacular fountain at the lobby’s center, reverberate the oceanfront views. Cerulean blue, white, silver, and gray, with pale pink hues are a nod to the Miami locale. Metallic inlaid floors with one-of-a-kind rugs fashioned from mosaic tiles are just a few more haute couture details one would expect from a designer of Mr. Lagerfeld’s caliber.

After such a grand entrance, our expectations were high. Thankfully, the amenities continue to elevate. Next to the Estates will be Villa Acqualina, almost 50,000 square feet of unparalleled amenities including an ice skating rink, bowling lanes, a speakeasy and wine bar, a Wall Street Trading Room and a Formula One Racing Simulator.

When you head outdoors, there is no shortage of fun things to do. The grounds include multiple infinity pools, a FlowRider for surfers, basketball and bocce courts, a soccer field, a dog park and 500 feet of Atlantic oceanfront with five-star services. When residents want to leave the property, they can just call the concierge who can arrange for the house Rolls Royce to chauffeur you around. Not surprising, as their sister property, The Mansions At Acqualina, boasts more Rolls-Royces than any other residential building in the United States at almost sixty. Additionally, residents will have full access to the neighboring Acqualina Resort & Spa, a AAA Five-Diamond facility.

The Trump Group’s vision of The Estates at Acqualina was to create a unique lifestyle that will set it apart from the world. This residential enclave whose luxury and service place it in a class of its own, has raised the bar on a global scale. And one that will be difficult and unlikely for others to duplicate.
