Colorado-based experiential luxury travel brand Eleven Experience, which launched last year with Scarp Ridge Lodge in Crested Butte, has announced plans to open 11 more properties around the world by 2015, making it a major player in the boutique hotel sector. Eleven Experience’s mission is to transform distinctive, architecturally interesting and historic spaces into stylish destinations offering all the amenities of a luxury hotel without losing a sense of scale or intimacy often lacking in larger properties. Be it a fishing lodge, beach house, working farm or ski chalet, each new Eleven Experience destination will feature exclusive appointments, private chefs, concierge services and spa facilities on par with the world’s best. In addition, professional guides at each property will be on hand to craft bespoke adventures for guests unique to the destination—be it heli-skiing, fly-fishing or horseback riding. Scarp Ridge Lodge, which was once a 19th cntury mason’s lodge and Victorian brothel and was transformed into a chic seven-bedroom getaway offering world-class skiing, fly-fishing, mountain biking and more in addition to a saltwater pool, sauna and steam room will serve as the model for each exclusive new destination. The first new property from Eleven Experience, set to open in February, is Chalet Pelerin Tarentaise, a six-bedroom stone chalet in the historic village of Le Miroir in the French Alps. On and off-piste ski safaris to some of the area’s world-famous resorts will be complemented by mountaineering, hiking, biking and more in the summer months. Eleven Experience rock climbing
If all goes according to schedule, 2013 will see the opening of the Edington Priory in Wilshire, UK, a working organic farm situated two hours from London. Edington will offer farm-to-table dining with ingredients sourced directly from the property, as well as outdoor activities like canoeing and kayaking on a private lake and guided pheasant hunts in the best English country house style. Winter of 2013 will welcome a warm-weather destination, The Bahamas House Inn on lush Harbour Island, an intimate inn surrounded by private cottages decorated in traditional Bahamian style. The property’s guided activities will include boating, fishing, kite surfing, diving and snorkeling in addition to the pleasures of a salt water pool and spa. Eleven Experience horse-back riding
And in 2014, Eleven Experience will bring their aesthetic to two more carefully-curated destinations: Deplar Farm, a 350 acre property in a remote region of Northern Iceland, where guests can enjoy heli-skiing on the slopes of an arctic volcano, as well as salmon and Arctic char fly fishing and wildlife safaris by helicopter, is set to open early in the year. Following that will be a luxurious getaway on Boca Grande, a small Floridian tropical barrier island surrounded by the azure waters of the Charlotte Harbor and the Gulf of Mexico, an area renowned for its incredible fishing.
