Wheelock Properties, The Wharf Limited and Nan Fung Group recently announced that the new project, aptly named after the mountain, will be created in three phases. It looks like Christian Grey’s apartment is officially off the market and we aren’t surprised at all to find out that soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo was the one who snatched it. According to the Daily Mail, the 2,509-square-foot loft that reportedly inspired Fifty Shades of Grey can be found in New York’s Trump Tower and apparently cost the 30-year-old athlete $18.5 million. Considering Forbes lists him as the 10th richest celebrity in the world and the highest-paid football player (that’s soccer to us yanks), the price tag seems like chump change.
