Boston Things To Do: Originally opened on July 4, 1876 in Boston's Copley Square, The Museum of Fine Arts Boston initially held around 5,600 pieces of art. By 1909 the museum moved to Huntington Avenue where the museum?s art collection grew to nearly 450,000 works. Visit the Museum of Fine Arts Boston to see their diverse range of works, from European and African to contemporary, photography, and jewelry.

The museum regularly features visiting exhibitions with works from many famous artists such as Degas, Picasso, Van Gogh, and more.
