You know we love the SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills for a lot of reasons:
At the beginning of February, celebrity style maven Sally Hershberger opened a new Los Angeles Style Studio at the SLS (in addition to her famed West Hollywood location and her two New York salons) as part of Ciel Spa. Just in time for awards season!
Sam Nazarian, the CEO of SBE (which owns the SLS brand) explains it. "Sally Hershberger represents another level of partnerships for SBE and the SLS Hotel Brand as we evolve as a hospitality leader." He views the partnerships with Sally Hershberger as a perfect extension of the SLS brand's operation, continuing, "Not only are our innovative partners leaders within their industry, they are also a natural fit for our brand."
Like the spa and the rest of the hotel, the Style Studio was designed by starchitect Philippe Starck. Everything about it is white-on-white, shiny surfaced, uncluttered cool. But that doesn't mean this is an impersonal service model. Every detail down to the little healthy snacks for guests to nibble on and even the music playlist has been conceived of with painstaking attention.
Catering to the industry crowd-you never know when you'll have a last-minute Hollywood soiree to get to-the Style Studio will be open seven days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Unlike Hershberger's full-service salons, the purpose of the Style Studio is to be an extension of the spa. It is an amenity both to hotel guests and Angelenos alike, where they can come in for a professional styling experience from some of the best in the business. The studio will feature the full array of Sally Hershberger services from a simple wash and blow-dry ($85) to a fully styled up-do ($150).
"From the minimalist décor to the unparalleled talent of the stylists on-hand to create the perfect sexy blowout or modern up-do, the Style Studio offers SLS Hotel guests the complete Sally Hershberger Salon experience without leaving the hotel," proclaims Hershberger herself.
Guests might not have to leave the hotel to get styled, but they're definitely going to want to hit the town to show off their new look afterward. Chances are you'll see some of them on red carpets all over Los Angeles this awards season.
