The two-week lead up to the Super Bowl is one thing; the glitz and glam of Hollywood’s award season is another.

Endlessly producing events in L.A. becomes second nature rather than a lobbied-for-phenom. Hence, Los Angeles provides efficiency for its spotlight citizenry. The streets shut down; police and parking enforcers scour the area; pedestrians stop to stare, taking pictures — it’s all for the red carpet.

No matter the size of the event or the caliber of celebrity, the carpet rolls out with luxury treatment and full press access. It’s become an art form, even when it’s a pre-Grammy party. Red carpet moments lead up to the big dance, and also unlike the Super Bowl, the “pre” can overshadow (see Whitney Houston) the main event.

On Friday February 10, Grammy weekend was kicked off at Hollywood hot spot, Tru Nightclub. Garage PR and the world’s leading celebrity publication, OK! Magazine, put their best foot forward, throwing a stylish and celeb filled event, hosting a bevy of reality TV and music stars including those from Bravo’s ‘Real Housewives’ franchise, ‘Kendra’ on E! and ‘Dancing With The Stars’. Specialty cocktails sponsored by Smirnoff flowed, as did the main event Flo Rida, his dance inducing lyrics kept guests on their feet.
