What’s better then hanging out poolside listening to your favorite bands and sipping on your favorite cocktails? How about instead of streaming music, you’re watching live as they perform their hits under the warm Miami sun. Much better. On June 28 and 29, the iHeartRadio Ultimate Pool Party at Fontainebleau will be bringing in Pitbull, Ke$ha, Afrojack, Icona Pop, Krewella and Jason Derulo for their second annual event.
Kicking off the day, the welcome party will take place at the resort’s Tropez Lawn and continue on Saturday with an all-day poolside music bash. Icona Pop, Krewella and Jason Derulo will take over the stage Saturday evening, while Pitbull, Ke$ha and Afrojack will close out the series on Sunday.
Along with the main performers, sets by DJ Prostyle, DJ Skee and DJ Obscene will heat up the pool with their inventive mixes and sexy beats. Streaming live at 9 p.m. ET on June 29, the evening performances will air on more than 120 Clear Channel stations nationwide including mainstream, rhythmic contemporary hit radio, and electronic dance music. iHeartRadio is an industry leader in digital radio service from Clear Channel.
To gain VIP trips to the concerts, more than a million entrants participated in a text-to-win contest in which 200 of those won exclusive passes. One lucky grand prize winner, Natalie Bergen of Montgomery, New York, and three of her friends, received a weekend-long all-access experience to the event. Flying in style, they will jet-set to Miami on the Pepsi Party Plane private luxury jet and go through their own private terminal prior to being chauffeured to the Presidential Suite at Fontainebleau Miami Beach.
Bergen and friends will also be treated to a pre-show dinner at the renowned Hakkasan’s restaurant at the private Sommelier table. The full list of prizes includes: an exclusive poolside cabana for spa treatments; intimate artist experiences throughout the weekend, including a private jet ski ride with Krewella and walking the band to the stage; hanging out with Pitbull backstage and a shopping spree with his stylist; getting ‘Ke$hafied’ by the glitter girl herself; private meet and greets; and a new Fiat 500 Cabrio.
This year marks the return of the pool party to the luxurious Fontainebleau hotel. Situated on oceantfront property on Millionaire’s Row, the historic hotel has been a landmark since 1954. After undergoing a $1 billion reinvention, the resort reopened with a grand opening chockfull of A-list celebs in attendance. The bash featured performances by Usher, Mariah Carey and Robin Thicke, as well as the Victoria Secret Fashion Show. Last year’s iHeartRadio Ultimate Pool Party attenders were able to experience the grand hotel amongst the energetic sounds of Flo Rida, Maroon 5, Gym Class Heroes and Calvin Harris.
