Milan Culture: The Bagatti Valsecchi Museum was founded by the heirs of this 19th-century baron's estate. The home-turned-cultural institution has an amazing display of Italian Renaissance and decorative art displayed much in the way Valsecchi had it originally arranged. The museum provides for an intriguing immersion into the life of an aristocrat during the late 19th century.
Adorning the walls and tabletops within are tapestries, metalwork, furniture, weapons, paintings and sculptures. The museum hosts tours and a myriad of other activities from academic lectures to concerts. |
