New Orleans Culture: Honored with a Congressional designation as the official museum of the war is New Orleans' National World War II Museum. Exhibitions here include oral histories, striking images from the front lines and at home, and extraordinary artifacts from battles across both oceans.

The museum attracts history buffs and blue-blooded patriots alike, drawn by curiosity or academic interests. On the first floor is the Malcolm S. Forbes Theater, which shows two amazing films, including the Academy Award-nominated documentary D-Day Remembered.
