Known as the “Hotel for Presidents,” the Renaissance Blackstone Chicago Hotel is getting in on the election fever this year with a new package. Having hosted over 12 US Presidents themselves, the Stay Like a President offer is available October 19-Nov 13, 2016. Upon check-in, any guest named Donald or Hillary (they will be checking IDs) or those who hold the title of president in their own company will receive a glass of Champagne.
For accommodations, guests can stay in historic rooms such as the Suite of Presidents and The Smoke Filled Suite where the likes of Harry Truman and others have stayed. Also included is a $500 shopping card to purchase your own power suit or to channel your inner First Lady with a one-on-one personal shopper.
Executive Chef Aaron McKay will have you eating like a President as well with a special four-course menu served either in-room or at the Mercat a la Planxa. Breakfast is served in-room and snacks commemorating the candidates are also included, either New York Cheesecake and a Manhattan cocktail (Trump) or a bucket of Garrett Popcorn and a Goose Island 312 or Matilda beer (Clinton). You’ll also receive your own secret service treatment in an exclusive black car to transport you to and from the airport. Rates start at $2,016 per night (to reflect the election year).
