Orlando Culture: Albin Polasek is well-known as one of America's premier sculptors of the 20th century, regarded as one of the most skilled masters of depicting movement through sculpture. Approximately half the 400 works created during his lifetime are on display at the Albin Polasek Museum and Sculpture Gardens.
The museum was a gift from the artist to the public, when, shortly after moving to Winter Park he opened his personal gardens. Then after his death in 1965 the entire estate was opened to the public, and it remains today as a destination for art connoisseurs. |
