Get ready to celebrate the holidays, San Diego style. As most San Diegans would agree, this city is undoubtedly one of Santa’s favorites, and to celebrate he’s getting rid of the red velvet suit in favor of some board shorts and flip flops. Before the Christmas season gets really underway, Santa is taking time out to catch some sun and surf at Seaport Village for the annual Surfin’ Santa event. With a yacht as his chariot, guests can enjoy some pre-holiday season time with the North Pole’s biggest star on November 24, 2012 from 1 to 5 pm.
General manager Terry Hall said, “We’re delighted to welcome back our famous Surfin’ Santa at Seaport Village and are honored to be one of the only destinations in the Nation to offer such a unique experience during the holidays.” Visitors can take photos with Santa alongside his surfboard and six –foot wave while also enjoying holiday entertainment, unique shopping, and more. Santa’s arrival will include a parade on the Seaport Village boardwalk as he arrives aboard the Corinthian, photo opportunities, and craft areas for younger children.
Moms and Dads can take the opportunity to knock some of those “hard-to-please” people off their lists with access to more than fifty, one-of-a-kind shops, featuring everything from apparel to specialty items, gifts, and food.
