The San Diego International Auto Show rolled in last week, filling the Convention Center with cars of all shapes and sizes. Having concluded yesterday, the show featured over 400 autos from manufacturers all over the world, including 2014 models and muscle cars — especially the Ford Mustang, which just turned 50. Drawing in a wide variety of people, from window shoppers thinking practical to big rollers drooling over the hottest sports cars, the auto show had something for everyone.

Though many impressive cars were on display, including a DB9 Aston Martin and a Lexus LFA, my favorite area was back by the muscle cars and the Exotics Vault. It was there where I witnessed the most excitement and while the cars were for display only (not allowing anyone inside) that didn't quell anyone's happiness.

To help celebrate the Ford Mustang's birthday, Mustangs of all types were showcased, including a 1965 Emberglo convertible, a 1973 Mach I, 2007 Shelby GT500, the 2004 40th anniversary edition GT Coupe, and a 2012 Boss 302. The exotics included vehicles from Lotus, Maserati, Lamborghini, and Ferrari.

Walking Dead fans were thrilled to take pictures with Hyundai's "Zombie Survival Car," which was a Santa Fe with machine guns and knife blades attached. Sure, the beat-up car complete with severed limbs looked a little out of place among the shiny paint jobs (not including the gorgeous matte blue Audi R8 V10), but it certainly made for a great photo-op.

If you missed the show this year, keep an eye out for the 2015 San Diego International Auto Show!
