San Diego Culture: The San Diego Maritime Museum has a longstanding reputation for excelling in their presentation and preservation of historic vessels. Located along the shores of the embarcadero, this collection of ships features the world's oldest active ship, the Star of India.

The collection also contains a steam ferry, steam yacht, cutter, the state's official tall ship, and a replica of a Royal Navy Frigate. These boats can be visited on foot and enjoyed in conjunction with tour guides and lectures, or you can go for a sail around the bay aboard the Californian.
