San Diego Zoo

The San Diego Zoo opened in 1915, after the culmination of the Panama-California Exposition, where many Americans were first introduced to animals from other parts of the world. Over 4,000 animals now call the San Diego Zoo home, including the rarely-seen-in-captivity Giant Panda. Many exhibits are designed to safely allow the observation of animals without cages.

The San Diego Zoo is widely-regarded as one of the most progressive zoos in the world. They offer a full schedule of special events and experiences like animal interactions and sleepovers.

OPEN DAILY FROM 9AM TO 5PM, AND FROM 9AM TO 6PM DURING SPRING BREAK (MARCH).

The San Diego Zoo is one of the best Zoo's I have been to. I recommend getting the bus pass that they offer, as the zoo is quite large.

Why I love grandkids! 1. get to go the zoo. 2. show off my grandson. 3. love his reactions to the same childhood memories I remember. nuff said
